A single green one is located off-screen in World 2-3. The gray ones are recolored green in Super Mario All-Stars. This is actually a holdover from the fact that the "orange and gray" palette used underwater in the original occupies the same hardware space as the "orange and green" palette used for overworld graphics, as demonstrated by World 9 of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. In the Super Mario All-Stars version of The Lost Levels, the fake Bowser fought at the end of World B-4 is actually a green Cheep-cheep.
